In 2009 Tumet was awarded the contract for the construction of the Brevig Mission Improvement Project. The scope of work was to rehabilitate approximately 1.8 miles of community streets as specified in the construction plans. Tumet employed approximately 35 people on site and only 3 were not tribal members. Tumet performed the work with successful drug testing, zero accidents and zero recordable injuries.

In 2011 Tumet went to Brevig Mission to repair washouts with culverts and bank protection.
